V-i-G FAQ

Basic Questions

What is V-i-G (vacuum insulating glass) ?

V-i-G is a new type of energy-saving glass relative to Insulating Glass. It utilizes the characteristics of vacuum thermal insulation and sound insulation, which has the advantages of ultra-thin, ultra-low U value, ultra-high sound insulation and ultra-long service life.

This is a high vacuum layer with a thickness of only 0.15 mm, and the vacuum degree can reach 7×10-2Torr

We use spacers to separate the two pieces of vacuum glass. As mentioned above, the height of the spacers is only 0.15 mm, the diameter is 0.7 mm, the spacing is 35 mm, and It looks translucent

This is a low melting point glass Solder sealing, which is heated at high temperature to seal the edges of the two pieces of vacuum glass, with very good air tightness and bonding strength

After the vacuum glass is installed, a trace of gas will be excited under the sun’s irradiation, which has a slight impact on the vacuum degree. The getter absorbs this gas and maintains the same vacuum degree
